One of the high points of my life was the experience of swimming with some playful
manatees in Florida a few years ago at Blue Springs State Park.
It was mating season and one female was choosing between a dozen ardent males.
This cupid was adapted by Becky Ivancic from some classic clipart.
I carved it for, of course, Valentine's Day a couple years ago.
Martin Luther King Jr. and I share a holiday sometimes, here
in Massachusetts... his day of honor and my birthday sometimes fall on the same Monday.
Wasn't very long ago that this was state of the art equipment...
Hard to believe how fast and how far we've come in just a few years.
