WELCOME TO THE C.O.W. #4 - FLASHBACK TIME
Carvings Of the Week (updated sporadically)

All Eraser Carvings carved in 1994-95 by Rusty Clark
on Chaselle EZCut material with X-acto #11 blade
and Speedball Linoleum Line Tool.

Celtic Dragon
Dragons are abundant in the old art archives. You could probably
carve a dragon every day for a year and not run out of them. The best part
about carving mythical creatures is that you can interpret them any way you want!

Smile and Say Cheese
This carving is being sold by Rubber Poet in Utah. This was
done more than a year ago and was one of my first tries at
cutting lines into dark space for shading.

This silly guy can carry almost anything in his trunk, makes him versatile.

Mermaid
This mermaid was an attempt on my part to "freehand" a little.
The top half of this was a photo in an underwear ad, the bottom was adlibbed.

Sign Painter
Old clipart image but still tasty.
I love to use him on big envelopes next to drippy
letters in an address. Makes him look busy

Another Dragon
Half dragon, half fish. I keep him in my mermaid collection.
If you like images like these - Look for the Dover Books
collection of mythical beasts. There are some very weird images in it.
