All Eraser Carvings carved by Rusty Clark
on Chaselle EZCut material with X-acto #11 blade
and Speedball Linoleum Line Tool.
A new carving from an old engraving from Dover.
I carved this in one piece and then hand colored on the eraser with
red and green Marvy Markers to achieve the two color effect.
This was carved to accompany the Marilyn Monroe
stamp released by the USPS last year to honor American Entertainers.
It was carved in two pieces, the postage stamp image itself
and a second to fill MM's dress and background in a contrasting color.
Just the right thought for any occasion.
This was carved on Staedtler Mars material, the perfect stuff for lettering.
Some carving material is too crumbly or rubbery for fine detail.
The Andy Warhol Postoid was carved to commemorate the opening of the Warhol Museum.
This image was inked with purple dye ink on a cloth pad,
resulting in a more translucent effect than with pigment ink.
These irises were carved on a pink BIG MISTAKE eraser bought
on vacation in a gift shop in Florida. Hand colored on the eraser with purple
and green Marvy Markers, then stamped.
Aztec Wall Carving adapted to eraser. One of my early carvings.
Stamped in Colorbox green pigment ink.
